meet corey

Hi guys! I'm Corey! I'm the lady in charge, over here at Emory Tate Interiors! I'd love to tell you a little bit about how this dream business came about.

My background is in Speech Language Pathology, which has been my career for the last 10 years. I have worked in the pediatric, home health setting, and have loved every minute of it.

Rewind to my childhood....both of my parents are artists in their own right. My mom is an uber talented painter, and my dad, a musician. My mom worked as a textile designer for almost 20 years, so my love for beautiful things has been in my blood FOREVER. Just ask my family....my sister and I had so much fun rearranging and designing our bedrooms as children, and my college dorm room managed to look homey, despite the cinderblock walls and plain wood furniture.

I've had the design bug for as long as I can remember, but ultimately decided to pursue a career which also offered me a wonderful opportunity to help children, and provided some of the medical field that also interested me. This means that my design kicks came in the form of me re-doing and creating projects in our own home that drove my husband crazy!

Now, 10 years later, I am married to a wonderful and supportive husband, and a mommy to two little girls. My husband also owns his own business, and family is a huge priority. When our youngest was born, I had a change of heart, and a desire to pursue my long time passion for design. After lots of prayer, and discussion, I decided to take a leap of faith, and start Emory Tate Interiors (named for my two girls, Emory and Tate). My husband was so supportive in letting me chase this dream, and worked with me to help this make sense for our family.

I have loved every minute of this new career, and have met and worked with so many wonderful families. I truly feel that I have been given the desires of my heart in this field, and feel so blessed to be doing something that I love.
